Last Record Album

So here it is- one last album of musics by Thunderbridge- ten tracks we’ve not recorded before, and nearly didn’t! Some favourites, some new ones, all recorded in a single evening. Slightly rough around the edges, as perfectly complimented by the home-made packaging, and the (ubiquitous) spelling mistakes. But a CD to be proud of nonetheless. Hopefully you’ll love it. Back in the Land of the Living Room

Four On The Floor

Released in September 2008, there are 12 concert songs recorded live at Wellington Arts Centre, 4 bonus tracks and additional material including the wonderful bloopers and two promo videos from the archives. If you haven’t seen us before, then this is what we are like, warts and all. If you have seen us before, then it’ll be happy memories revisited (we hope!).

The Moon Shines Still

TBB’s second album, from 2007. On it you’ll find a fine selection of songs, some original, some classic, all arranged in typical Thunderbridge style. We tried various techniques to get the right feel and sound, and eventually settled on a live-in-the-studio setup where we all played together like we do when practising, and did it all live to the microphones. Added to this, we recorded ‘Man of Constant Sorrow’ at a gig similarly to the last album, and even a ‘vintage’ version of ‘Salty Dog Blues’ we found in a dusty basement archive.

Nick Girone-Maddocks ‘Broken Radios’

After spending the summer in the studio with Jules, Thunderbridge and some other players, Nick has now got himself another solo CD to plug. This is a collection of 13 originals songs which cover his roots, country, rock n roll, blues and bluegrass influences. Order here for the customary tenner.

Nick Girone-Maddocks ‘Friday Night Star’

Nick’s first solo album from 2004, which has been re-issued this year. Acoustic magazine said this:
“Sporting influences ranging from Dylan to Tom Petty, Friday Night Star is an upbeat melodious album full of strong songs and instantly likeable melodies. An excellent debut offering from a talented singer / songwriter.”
Be warned – this ain’t no bluegrass record, but a full-on rock, roots ‘n’ roll record.

Only Ever Served From The Wood

We have now stopped selling this CD, as we have changed rather from when we recorded it. And got better. It’s not very representative of where we are now, and anyway, we ran out! This, our first CD recording, was made entirely live at the Wellington Arts Centre in December 2005.
